Chapter 3 in International Banking and Finance, 1974, pp 49-77 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter focuses on the managerial and organisational aspects of international banking. What prompts American banks to consider and eventually embark on a commitment in international banking? To what extent should banks commit themselves to international activities, and under what organisational forms? What organisational strategies are most suitable for individual banks venturing into the international field, and how is this influenced by size, location and other characteristics of banks?
