The Four Case Studies
Arthur Brearley
Chapter 10 in The Control of Staff-Related Overhead, 1976, pp 109-139 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Four case studies were undertaken in U.K. companies which had carried out a programme of white-collar worker measurement and control. These four case studies are set out in this chapter. There is one case for each of the consultants’ programmes mentioned in Chapter 9, and the following points are emphasised. Clearly the four companies are in no way a statistical sample. Further, they were not chosen as examples of particularly successful results.
