Trevor J. Bentley
Chapter 7 in Making Information Systems Work, 1981, pp 62-70 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The analysis of the information collected during the survey followed a series of steps which led to the production of a report assessing the user’s needs and describing how these could possibly be met. The individual steps were: (a) Complete an information analysis for each decision. (b) Prepare a file of decision definitions for each function. (c) Analyse the functional information needs, to show inflows and outflows. (d) Produce a detailed information analysis for each function.
