A chapter in Accounting Control and Financial Strategy, 1979, pp 65-69 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Manaus Woodpulp Corporation (MWC) is a case study on capital investment appraisal under uncertainty. It is an example of one of the most problematic forms of capital investment appraisal, namely where the investment is direct and overseas. The scale of this particular project, and the. uncertainties involved, may well justify use of a computer simulation model. Such a model is described in the case and perhaps should be extended.
