Chapter 4 in Financing Industrial Investment, 1979, pp 88-154 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Within the five nations under consideration, there are various financial institutions which attract savings and transform them into short-, medium-, or long-term loans. In this chapter, limits of space compel us to deal with the functions and methods of these financial institutions only in outline, for the history and nature of each country’s financial markets could easily fill several volumes.
