Chapter 3 in Economic Sanctions and International Enforcement, 1980, pp 29-41 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Western embargoes on trade with Communist countries in Europe and the Far East, like Arab boycotts and embargoes have been the product of war or of near-war situations. The objective is to strengthen one’s own position, weaken the enemy, and prevent the development of his military and industrial strength.
