Chapter 9 in The Hidden Meaning of Pay Conflict, 1981, pp 115-130 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The purpose of the first part of this chapter is to draw together the main findings from the case-surveys presented in the three preceding chapters, to assess their cumulative evidence, and to state the main conclusions of the research. The characteristics of the organisational situations studied will also be discussed, in order to judge the scope and the limitations of the findings. In the second part of the chapter, a discussion of selected aspects of the findings will follow.
