Abstract:
Abstract The economic development of bourgeois society leads necessarily to the disappearance of production on a small scale (Kleinbetrieb), the principle of which consists in the worker’s owning the means of production. This economic development separates the worker from his means of production, and transforms him into an unpropertied proletarian while the means of production become the property of a comparatively small number of capitalists and great landlords.
