Wage Control and Success Indicators

Jan Adam

Chapter 5 in Wage Control and Inflation in the Soviet Bloc Countries, 1979, pp 92-107 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In the preceding two chapters the regulation of basic wages and bonuses has been discussed on a very general level. Attention has been primarily devoted to systemic aspects, to the way the regulation is carried out, whether directly or indirectly, and partially to its impact on price stability. The choice of indicators, the systemic significance of individual indicators and the reasons for their choice have not been touched on until now. This is the object of the present chapter.
