Mortgages

T. J. Gough

Chapter 3 in The Economics of Building Societies, 1982, pp 30-46 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we turn to consider the other main part of the building societies’ activities: the granting of mortgages. Here we are principally concerned with three aspects: the type of mortgage offered, the category of persons offered loans and size of such loans, and the types of property on which mortgages are usually granted.
