Abstract: Abstract The issues of geographical policy and regional politics, raised in the last chapter, provide the focus towards which the whole purpose of this book has been directed. The import of theory about the economy’s working is that it can shed light on questions of governance. The only relevance of economics is that it informs the higher art of political economy. The point of geographical economics is to help sound judgement of the ‘where?’ questions of national housekeeping.
