Chapter 8 in Economics in the Long View, 1982, pp 116-140 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The framework of Walt Rostow’s stages of economic growth was originally published in an article in the Economic Journal in 19561 and elaborated in a series of lectures to Cambridge undergraduates in 1958. In this early formulation the process of economic growth was perceived to consist of three stages.
