Domesticated Advertising

Jeremy Potter

Chapter 12 in Independent Television in Britain, 1989, pp 192-210 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Television is said to be all about programmes, but politics and engineering are only two of the factors behind the screen which affect the nature and quality of what appears on it. Television advertising has a full record of its own,1 but a general account of Independent Television would be incomplete without due acknowledgement of the contribution made by advertisers.
