Abstract: Abstract The construction process is long, involved and often cumbersome and inefficient. Its success depends on having the right relationships between the parties to the process. There is a great range of possible methods of organising the process each with its different contractual relationships and procedures. Matters to be dealt with include the determination of exactly what is required by the client, financial and operational viability and conformity to legal requirements of the scheme, the design of the building or works required and its construction within cost and time targets.
