Abstract:
Abstract This section lists detailed specifications of many of the more popular printers currently available for use with microcomputers. According to recent market reports, the printer market in Western Europe is set to grow on average at 22 percent per annum between now and 1986. In the UK alone, the printer market was worth over £200 million in 1982. The reason for this growth lies in the expansion of the desk top computer market. Very few companies buy a computer without having at least one printer to produce hard copy quickly, cheaply and of reasonable quality. If, in addition, the printer is able to produce correspondence quality copy, it becomes an even more attractive product.
