More about Numerate Methods

Graham Tarr

Chapter 9 in The Management Barrier, 1983, pp 125-149 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In the previous chapter I discussed some areas of problem-solving philosophy from a point of view that was almost entirely qualitative. But there are also quantitative or numerate ways of thinking that I would like to pass on to those who feel in need of a deeper numerate grounding. Those that I give in this chapter are a mixed collection, but taken together I hope that they will give the newly numerate a little extra confidence.
