A chapter in The Grants Register 1985–1987, 1984, pp 172-246 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The Camargo Foundation, an educational trust established under the laws of New York State, maintains a center of studies in France for the benefit of scholars and creative artists who wish to pursue projects in the humanities relative to France. Fellows must be in residence at the Foundation. For stays longer than 90 days, the French authorities require a carte de sejour. Sometime during the stay each scholar will be asked to outline his project to the residents. Applicants may include teachers in secondary and higher education; graduate students; and writers, artists and musicians with specific projects to complete. The normal term of residence is from 15th September to 31st May. Closing date: 1st March.
