Derek Ezra
from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The activities of the publicly owned sector of the economy of the United Kingdom span a broad spectrum of United Kingdom enterprise, from heavy industry through most elements of the energy and transport sectors to the high technology of British Aerospace and the advanced telecommunications systems employed by the Post Office. Together, the publicly owned sector represents some 12 per cent of gross domestic product and employs about 8 per cent of the national labour force.
