Corporate Planning in a Large Insurance Group
John B. Gragnola
Chapter 2 in A Guide to Insurance Management, 1990, pp 22-34 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Someone once wrote, ‘The future isn’t what it used to be’. This facetious remark contains a serious truth: the changes that are taking place in our world are more disruptive, more widespread and less predictable than they have ever been. As a result, we cannot manage our business unless close attention is paid to what is going on in the world around — in our own and related industries, in world economies, and in society at large. The future cannot be left to take care of itself.
