Modelling and Forecasting in Insurance Management

Margaret Brown

Chapter 4 in A Guide to Insurance Management, 1990, pp 59-75 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This chapter is primarily concerned with computer-based financial models and their application to insurance. There now exists a wide and sometimes confusing variety of models and modelling techniques. This is a consequence of the recent developments in information technology which have made available, at relatively low cost, powerful tools for forecasting and modelling.
