Chapter 6 in The Economic Impact of Leasing, 1988, pp 107-125 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract It has been clear from the earlier chapters that survey evidence on the effect of leasing and other incentives is inconclusive but, on balance, indicates the existence of effects on the quantity and timing of investment. Econometric evidence on investment incentives is similarly mixed. However, it is unanimous in indicating some effect. The debate is over its size and consequently over its efficiency. None of the econometric evidence relates directly to leasing and as a consequence we need to undertake an analysis of our own.
