The Soviet Communist Party and Economic Reform: a Case Study

Yong-Chool Ha

Chapter 7 in Economic Reforms in the Socialist World, 1989, pp 108-120 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This chapter examines the attitudes of a sample of thirty obkom (provincial committee) first secretaries to the 1973 production association reform during the three years 1973 to 1975. Since the idea of production association had already been mentioned at the 24th Party Congress in 1971, speeches and articles from 1971 and 1972 are also added.
