John Whalley

A chapter in Global Protectionism, 1991, pp 118-118 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract I found this both an enjoyable and highly readable paper in what is a complex area; namely, agricultural protection in developing countries and the current state of protection in the light of ongoing multilateral negotiations. The paper suggests that current GATT negotiations, while making progress in agriculture, are none the less finding it difficult to do so.
