Community Relations
Warren Newman
Chapter 6 in Strategic Public Relations, 1995, pp 95-105 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract I start with two statements which the Institute of Public Relations Board of Management has decided will supplement its long-standing definition of public relations: Public relations is about reputation — the effect of what you do, what you say and what others say about you. Public Relations Practice is the discipline that looks after reputation — with the aim of earning understanding and support, and influencing opinion and behaviour.
