Chapter 9 in Technology and Enterprise Development, 1994, pp 178-184 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter briefly deals with some of the other factors that may influence the development of technological capabilities in the Ghanaian sample firms. Some of these, like financial markets, labour markets and regulations, were not designed to be covered by this study, so will not be discussed. This does not imply, of course, that they are not important for TC development, though their influence is less direct than that of the factors included here. However, the most important indirect influence on TC investments, the incentive structure facing firms, does need some discussion.
