Abstract:
Abstract Nearly four years ago, when the American High Performance Communications and Computing (HPCC) Project was at its beginning, during his keynote speech at the Frontiers 92 Computing Symposium, Milton Halem (1992) of the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (other keynote panelists were: Stephen Squires, DARPA; John Cavallini, DOE; Lee Holcomb, NASA; and Merrell Patrick, NSF) identified three issues as highlighting the six-year, multi-billion dollar, multi-agency HPCC program.
