A chapter in Inward Investment, Business Finance and Regional Development, 1998, pp 1-10 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract There is no universal agreement about the causes of economic growth at the international, national or regional level — however there is widespread recognition of the crucial role of capital flows, and the associated importance of business finance. Meanwhile it is easy to see the promotion of inward investment as increasingly central to British regional policy. The purpose of this volume is to bring together a range of contemporary analyses of the theoretical and empirical relationships between inward investment, business finance and regional development.
