Chapter 7 in The Power of Money, 1997, pp 60-70 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The Bretton Woods Agreements, a 96-page document, were signed by the chairmen of 44 delegations on the evening of 22 July 1944, after more than three weeks of negotiations, following a memorable dinner; some delegates signed the next morning. They had acquiesced to endorse the Final Act drawn up by the American experts. The reader interested in the history of the negotiations preceding the signature, could consult my book Bretton Woods: Birth of a Monetary System.
