Abstract:
Abstract In this account we summarize our findings of research into aspects of the transition process in the Czech Republic and Hungary. In both these countries primary research data was collected by native professionals working in their own language. The research design and the methods employed were worked out through discussion and debate with two western partners who together coordinated the work and managed the logistics of the study — support for the research was through the European Community.
