Chapter 5 in Sectoral Analysis of Trade, Investment and Business in Vietnam, 1999, pp 39-51 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract After ten years of implementing a renovation and open-door policy, the Vietnamese economy has notched up encouraging achievements. The average GDP was 8.5 per cent in the 1991–4 period, 8 per cent in 1995 and 9.5 per cent in 1995. The inflationary rate reduced considerably from 500 per cent to 68 per cent in 1991, 17.5 per cent in 1992, and 14.4 per cent in 1994.
