Abstract:
Abstract Among the 330 363 sq.km of Vietnam’s territory, 75 per cent comprises mountains and hills. Natural forests, bare hills and deserted land that has forestry potential cover roughly 200 000 sq.km, accounting for 60.5 per cent of the national area. Of the 86 310 sq.km of natural forest, production forests make up 50 000 sq.km, protective forests 28 000 sq.km, and specialized forests 6000 sq.km.
