Developing Digital-Era Products and Services

Alf Chattell

Chapter 5 in Creating Value in the Digital Era, 1998, pp 104-135 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Products are shifting from being static accompaniments, to being fast-adapting intelligent companions. They can appeal to us and engage us on a human level. They can change our experience of the world by extending our senses and our consciousness. They can change our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. They can assist us in developing our personal potential. And they can extend our boundaries by empowering us to influence events of importance to us, create our own worlds, fulfil our dreams, and change the world in which we live.
