Key Threats and Challenges

Chapter 18 in Management Consultancy in the 21st Century, 1999, pp 183-196 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The biggest single threat to the industry has to be that it ceases to grow. The internal Systems and organisational structures of almost every firm are predicated on continuous growth. Career development is a good example: how can we sustain the apprenticeship model if we cannot move people up through the firm, and how can we move people up through the firm if we are not expanding?
