Chapter 6 in Rational Choice, 1999, pp 111-128 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract We address the problem of social choice, as an alternative generalisation of the problem of pure choice. We first set out the problem and propose definitions of admissibility and of acceptability for social choice rules. We then characterise the acceptable rules which are reasonable and the admissible rules which are rational.
