Chapter 1 in The People Advantage, 1999, pp 3-15 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract There are two distinguishing features of the most successful businesses around the world. These are a focus on strategy and a focus on people. Strategy is an essential building block for the commercial organization that wishes to maximize value for its owners. This book is more about people than strategy although we cover strategic thinking as an area of management competency in Chapter 11.
