Abstract: Abstract My purpose in this book is to examine the relation between equilibrium price and scarcity, rather than to provide a justification for interpreting value as equilibrium price and thus establishing a relation between value and scarcity. However, I present a translation of Walras’ discussion of this relationship in this appendix.
