Comment on Chapters 16 and 17

Peter Gijsel

A chapter in Unemployment in Europe, 1989, pp 452-456 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The discussion of the flexibilisation of markets, especially labour markets has become very popular in recent years. One of the most intriguing problems which has arisen in this discussion is how to conceptualise and measure the flexibility of a market. The following comment will deal exclusively with this topic by answering the question as to how both chapters have tackled this problem.
