Monetary Increases and their Consequences: Streams, Backwaters and Floods
Victoria Chick
Chapter 10 in On Money, Method and Keynes, 1992, pp 167-180 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The origin of this chapter is the series of conversations I was privileged to have with Ivor Pearce while a visiting lecturer at the University of Southampton in 1977. The discussions centred around monetary aspects of expansion, something Dennis Robertson had argued with Keynes and on which the monetarists should have drawn fire from the Keynesians, but for some reason they have not done so.
