Chapter 7 in Do Economic Sanctions Work?, 1992, pp 109-119 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Part One examined a number of cases of economic sanctions from a variety of angles, drawing an overall picture. One still fairly recent case, that of the United States and Iran, will now be examined to see how the overall picture relates to this particular case and to what extent the case of the Hostage Crisis exhibits new and special features.
