Introduction

Alf Chattell

A chapter in Managing for the Future, 1995, pp 1-7 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The business world is being transformed creating unimaginable possibilities for those able to let go of the past. Uncertainty and instability do not signal the end of any certainties and predictabilities, they signal the arrival of a new game. The wrong response is to retreat to familiar waters, hang tough, get back to the ‘basics’ and await the return of normal conditions.
