Chapter 5 in Managing Retail Productivity and Profitability, 1996, pp 120-133 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Asset management was seen to be part of the SPM model and is an integral part of the productivity—profitability—performance activity. The purpose of this chapter is to consider some of the major issues concerning asset management performance. Initially we shall discuss broad aspects of asset management; this will be followed by a discussion on the major elements of fixed assets and working capital (net current assets).
