Chapter 10 in Foreign Investment in Russia and Other Soviet Successor States, 1996, pp 257-264 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Direct investment in Russia, the other Soviet successor states and elsewhere in post-communist Eastern Europe has become a factor in global resource flows. Although its magnitude remains modest by international standards, there is little doubt that foreign direct investment (FD1) can make a major contribution to economic strength, and by implication contribute to the consolidation of infant democracies.
