Labour Legislation and the Zimbabwean Economy
Joe Foroma
Chapter 21 in Can South and Southern Africa become Globally Competitive Economies?, 1996, pp 245-250 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Zimbabwe became independent in 1980 and, as in other post-colonial economies, there were many socio-economic disparities that needed to be redressed. The new government, with its stated socialist outlook, sought to do just this, and one field in which it took early action was that of labour legislation.
