The Role of Japan in Central Europe in an Emerging Multipolar World
Judit Berényi
Chapter 14 in Japan and the European Periphery, 1996, pp 229-243 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This paper will focus on economic aspects of the growth of Japanese influence and will adopt a pragmatic approach. Clearly, as economic relations evolve in a political environment, reference to the international political framework will need to be made. And as a pragmatic essay, directed at least in part towards a policy-making audience, the paper will try to depict a realistic and critical picture of Japan’s developing presence in Central Europe.2
