Personal and Social Transformation: A Complementary Process Toward Ecological Consciousness
Yuka Takahashi
Chapter Chapter 10 in Learning Toward an Ecological Consciousness: Selected Transformative Practices, 2004, pp 169-182 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract As described in chapter 1 of this book, we are at a critical moment in history where we are not only facing ecological and other social crises of an unprecedented scale, but we are also challenging the destructive forces that give rise to these crises and attempting to create new possibilities. All around the world, there are individuals, groups of individuals, and organizations participating in the process of creating ecologically sustainable and just societies.
