Andrzej Byrt
Chapter 1 in Change Management in Transition Economies, 2003, pp 3-16 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter briefly describes the history of postwar German-Polish political relations until 1989, the conclusion of the border treaty (in 1990) and the signing of the Treaty of Good Neighbourliness and Friendly Cooperation in 1991. It outlines the consequences of these treaties in the political, economic and cultural spheres in the years 1989 to 2001, just before Poland’s accession to the European Union.
