Abstract:
Abstract This chapter describes the development of the Polish economy since the early 1990s and analyzes the experiences of German companies that have invested in Poland. Based on extensive primary data collected by the German Polish Organization for Economic Promotion (TWG), it discusses the specific opportunities and risks for foreign companies in this region. It is concluded that the competitiveness and attractiveness of the Polish markets will increase and their development accelerate when Poland becomes a member of the European Union.
