Chapter Chapter 9 in Journey to Lean, 2004, pp 147-167 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The next phase of Arboria’s journey to lean is to carry out the pilot. A successful implementation will both achieve the planned business objectives and demonstrate the benefits of the new way of working to front-line personnel, who may need convincing that it can produce real improvements in their working lives. The pilot also affords an opportunity to pressure-test the organisation and its management infrastructure to identify weak spots that must be addressed if change is to be sustained over time.
