John Smithson
Chapter 8 in The Role of the Non-Executive Director in the Small to Medium-Sized Business, 2004, pp 124-129 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This was in some respects a sad case, but it did nonetheless bring its own satisfaction to the non-exec, albeit of a sober kind. It also illustrates well, once again, the point so frequently made throughout this book about the need to be prepared to act in a ‘hands-on’ capacity when circumstances demand and people turn to you.
