Chapter Chapter 10 in Revival of a City, 2019, pp 229-254 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter takes a forward, and positive, look at the economic prospects for Coventry. As with many cities there is a recognition that economic success will be based on building a strong knowledgeKnowledge(s) base which supports innovationInnovation and technological development leading to commercialisation of new products. But that aim could be applied to many cities and begs the question as to why Coventry should be successful in the face of strong competition. The answer is unsurprising, but none the worse for being so. Coventry, like many cities, has survived by reinventing itself–several times over.
